Are you talking about EZ or Ghost brackets?

I didn't think the Ghost Brackets worked with the hard bags, only leather...?

With no support from beneath and the Roadie's tendency to "wag its tail", I would figure the hard bags would be vibrating and slapping against the fender. Please, someone tell me I'm wrong and I'll be the first to ditch those big ugly black mounting brackets...

I had ghost brackets on vtx 1300 with the saddleman drifter bags. They worked great and only left the two chrome nubs where the bolts had been before, barely noticeable. The bracket it a plate that is bolted onto the back of the saddlebags. Not sure how they would do on the stock saddlebags of the Roadstar. The saddleman bags were semi-hard, they had a thick hard plastic back.

National Cycle makes a quick release hard saddle bag. Don't think it only leaves the studs though
