Re:MAC Exhaust? 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Purchased and received a set yesterday. Havent put them on yet, they look pretty good but only an install and time will tell. I hope to find time to put them on this weekend and will post the fit and sound as soon as I do. I did buy a National cycle windshield (fits great), bag supports and saddlemen bags (again fit great) and a Cobra Sissy bar (also fit great). Almost have all the mods done.......... for now.......

Appreciate it BlueSpringsR*!! As for the stock exhaust mods I have done stage 1 then went and did stage 3 awhile back but want alittle more sound and is still pretty restrictive as far as performance goes. I have the Barons BAK and need to switch exhaust to correctly set up bike and get the most out of that investment !! Really want just a bit more growl and bark from the exhaust!!

Looks like we got the same paint there BlueSprings!!

What kind of air cleaner is that you have? I have done the stage 1 on the pipes already but still kind of quiet. Hopefully these new pipes will be in between straight and stock on the sound level. I am guessing the vertical connector (stock pipes) between the two is quieting it down some (it works that way on cars anyway). As noted I will post results as soon as I get them on. Oh, ya, like your color scheme as well!

The air cleaner is a Barons BAK (Big Air Kit) kit... It come complete with chrome cover (several designs), k&n filter and power cone, and rejet kit.

Here they are on. Fit was somewhat suspest. Had to use drift pin to pull in line the support mounts (not flanges to engine, they fit great). But dont seem to be in bind once done. Finish appears good although they dont have secondary heat shields so they are hot. Sounds is just like a bike with striaght pipes with baffles, a little fluttery. Although not bad. Definitly louder than stage one. I like it sound level wise. I like to look of them on, need to ride and see how they hold up. A little more back pop, altough not much more than stage one, just more noticible due to openess and loudness. Will AIS removal stop it you think?

Update, Macs are back off and going to see how Dennis Kirk's return policy works. They refused to seal at the exhaust port. I went ahead and stage three'd the stock and put them back on with zero seal problem so I know the Mac's have an issue...........
