Ultimate seat backrest??????? 3 Months ago
I broke down and bought a three piece ultimate seat, with the driver backrest, well it looks great except that I have a small Yamaha passenger backrest on it, and my wife thinks it should be bigger like the one for the driver. My question, which backrest does the tall ultimate passenger pad fit? Will it fit a tall cobra backrst or does it need to be a Yami one? Anybody have any suggections on where I can find what I need cheap? The backrest I have I bought on Ebay, but it does look very small compared to the rest of that seat. Any help would be appreciated. By the way took a ride on the new Ultimate seat and all I can say is WOW!!!! I took a short 45 minute ride, and I wish I had farther to go, this weekend I will be on a 5 hour round trip ride, looking forward to the comfort.

Thanks

PS>>>>>>I will change my sig once I have the seat situation taken care of.

It is a great seat bruskis1. You might want to call Ultimate and talk to Des about the kind of hardware you need for their pad. I imagine it would be a Yami one, but I'm not 100% sure. It's funny, I was thinking of ordering the pad for the short backrest for my scoot just last night. Great minds think alike, eh?

The hardware for the back rest is the same as the yamaha hardware. I have the back rest from Ultimate and have it mounted on the tall yami sissy bar. I think I should buy the long back rest but my wife feels the shorter one on the tall bar works fine.

Bruski1, I have the Ultimate 4pc set, and the passenger backrest only fits the Yammi sissy bar. And it is very comfy

Helmut, the tall sissy bar pad from Ultimate in not but about 1/2"(.50" taller than the wide one. When we were in Arkansas for Star Days, we checked them out while we were at their tent. She would be much happier to stay with the wide one. She will have more pad to lay back on and it is almost as the "tall" backrest.

Yeah that was what i meant. We did stick with the wide pad on the tall sissy bar. Tried both out at the Ultimate shop in Toronto and your right the wide was the perfered pad over the tall pad.

You went by their shop? Is the young lady that answers the phone as cute as she sounds?
