Sounds good when I'm rolling. It's just the idle sound that bugs me.

I notice that your pipe exits under the bags vs the old system was beyond the bags. That might play a little acoustical difference? I have the cobra pro pipe on mine and I love it. I just have to be careful at 5:00 am through the neighborhood.
I keep looking for you down in Hopkins. My route has me there Monday and Friday. If you see a Ameripride truck #101 stop me. Just not next week, because I'm going out to the Black Hills.

Loved the sound of mine at idle, before and after I added packing material. The propie has 1" at the rear also, but like Doc did, I wrapped half of the baffle and left half open. I wrapped the baffle with two layers of window screen, one layer of packing half way up and secured it all with wire. mellow at idle, sound great under load, and very mellow at riding speeds. Doesnt sound as cool, but gave me the sound I wanted to enhance the stereo at highway speeds.

I figured you would be at work. I'm there from about 11:00 to as late as 3:00.

Sorry , Wendy's battery in her bike Died , and I had go "retrieve" her. I would repack mine about every 5,000 miles. Solid packing gives it a nice deep tone......burned out packing sounds tinny. BB

Ditto again ... you need to repack.

I used one layer of muffler packing sandwiched between layers of metal mesh ... the mesh slows the packing from blowing out.

If you add too many layers of packing the bike won't start.
