Exhaust for the 2008 Silverado 2 Months ago
I have a 2008 silverado and nobody I know off makes aftermarket exhausts for them. Cobra says they will have them sometime in Nov. and Vance and Hines says they are working on them but don't have a release date. Does anybody know if the tech mod will also work on the EFI 1700s? Any advice will be appreciated. I love the EFI except for the problem of the O2 sensors needing to be mounted in the exhaust pipes.
Thanks!

Good morning tsladden, welcome to the Clinic. There's a few 08 owners on the board, they should be able to offer you some advice on aftermarket pipes once they wake up. Waiting a bit for pipes isn't unheard of, I recently waited about 7 weeks for some Road House pipes for my 05. There are some out there for the 08's but I can't remember who they are at the moment, coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

The alternative may be to get a set of pipes for an '07 and have the o2 mounting hardware welded on yourself... (Just make sure they use stainless or brass welding rods and hardware to avoid rusting...)

Do the older pipes physically fit on the 2008 bike?
