It's been talked about a lot. You can do a search and do some reading while you're waiting for someone to hop in.

Don't know much about the hyper..., probably pro would be induction of air which = bigger jet for more power. Con would be easy for rain/water to get in unless there is a diverter inside. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Had one on my RS for about 4 months, had trouble with jetting could never quite get it right, biggest thing was it stuck out to far and would always have to keep my leg out a little further to keep from hitting it. Changed to a BAK was a lot easier to jet and was more stream lined.

Ask me about my attention deficit disorder or my pie or my cat. A dog. I have a bike. Do you like TV? I saw a rock. Hi.

have had the hypercharger for over 4 years on my R*. Takes some getting use to as it does stick out, but it is cool and lots of options. I have the standard one. Lots of options with the standard. different trap doors/butterflies, can even put scenes/pictures on them. Different covers too. Check out the hyper streamliner, stinger trap door, infinity streamliner (I have this one & gold butterflies/trap door). I can change the look in a few minutes. You can even buy a pro upgrade kit for the standard to change things, though not sure how that will mess with your jetting.

Can't change up the pro-r. Plus the pro-r sticks out further. I'm happy with the hypercharger. You might get a few more hp out of the pro-r, but doubt it'll be that considerable of a difference.

so what did you decide? One other thing, someone mentioned rain, not an issue. I've ridden in downpours with they hypercharger and as long as you don't gun it, it should be fine.

BTW, see this was your first post, welcome to the clinic!

Welcome! I have a 2003 with a Hypercharger Pro. The original buyer had it installed by the dealer along with a few other mods (price started at $12,000 and he paid $22,000). I can't compare it to the OEM because that is how it came. It sticks out a little but that doesn't bother me. I have ridden in rain so hard that I had to slow to 10-12 MPH to see the road and stay on it! It also had V&H Longshots new, it was rejeted and I don't see any problem.
