I have a switchblade on mine. It's not the actual bracket at the mounting point that scratches up the forks... it's the wrap-around pipe clamps that are metal-to-metal to mount to the fork tins. The sticky things Doc is mentioning only keep the mounting bracket from scratching the tins - not the pipe clamps. :-DD.
