Mirrors 3 Weeks, 6 Days ago
I was wondering how many of you have aftermarket mirrors besides the yamaha ones. I have some I found somewhere online but they shake really really bad so they are almost useless.

Just wanted to see who has what and what mirrors would be good (other than stock or yami) to see out of clearly.

This has always been a major complaint for me--aftermarket mirrors. At a show, I bought some really cool looking mirrors. When I got them home, they didn't fit on my bike and then I later learned that they're made for HD's. I had to buy a special adaptor to fit on my bike and yes, as you mentioned, they shake like crazy and the images are not clear. I often have to use locktight to keep them from moving around. I have yet to find a good pair of aftermarket mirrors. In my opinion, it's best to stay stock.

I might go back to the stock mirrors, it seems to look ok with the use of drag bars. I remember they didn't shake much if at all. Just wanted to see if any one found good mirrors yet....

I did something crazy with my stock mirrors---I'm a lazy man--and got tired of having to move my head to see out the mirrors--so I switched the left and right side--it looks great--close to my windsheild and I can glance and see behind me(without moving my head). I do see my shoulders--but beyond that--I can see everything behind me--and also---who cares what is behind you---you already passed that!!! VROOM VROOM Ronnie in MD

How do you switch left and right mirrors on a Yahama when they have left and right threads?

If he's using the stock mirrors he can switch rhe mirror heads around and leave the stems, but he could have just turn the stem inward and flip the mirror head.

Drag Specialties Stealth Mirror with Dual Intensity LED - $44.95 from Phat Performance.
The LED/s are Run and Turn.
I am pleased with them.

Wanted a different look but didn't find any aftermarket that I really like so I just turned them over and they don't look like dog ears sticking out anymore, something different till I find a pair that I actually like.
