Re:IDENTIFYING PIPES 2 Weeks, 1 Day ago
Hi Stinger, yeh i was thinking the same thing this afternoon that i had the baffles as a gtood pattern and maybe a custom bike ex builder could make a set of little qiter baffle's up for me.

Thing is i have to find a cust builder of motorcyle exhaust which should ot be too hard to find.

BYW,i too know what loud is,back many moons ago when i was a crazy youngin i had 4 500 then 1 750 kawi 2 stroke all tripples/ widow makers with expansion chambers and they were loud for sure.

Used to wheelie the crap out of those bikes, esp the h2 750. That 750 would come up at will in 1st/2nd/3rd as soon as it hit the power band when you didnt want it too,you had to coax the 500's a little for wheelies but they came up fairly easy too.

Then i bught a brand new 76 kawi 900 and then in 77 sold the almost new 900 for the oh so much larger by a whopping 100cc's kawi's new for 1977 KZ1000 which i still own & ride to this day.

But many yrs ago when i was younger i rode it with a wide open no baffle inside 4 into 1 kerker, that thing really barked when you woud it up ,could not kill those machines, there are bullet proof.

I have ridden the kawi kz1000 every summer since i bought it new in 77 and the only thing i have had to replace in the 33 yrs i have been riding it other then the usuall tires/batteries/oil and air filters is a rectifier and 2 yrs ago the rubber intakes bewteen carbs & head because they dry rotted and were sucking air resulint in unstable idle mixture .

Other then that the bike has never broken down or faild to start in the 33 yrs i have owned and ridden it ever yr but still ony has 27,500 miles on it.

I still take it out once in a while when i feel like giving the local young guns a hard time with my old 1000 that still has the kerker on it & run wells. That old tech bike surprises them and they really get a laugh when they realize its a 54 yrs old fart driving it/lol!!!!!.

Somehow i survived all the crazy fast riding as a youngster,PHEW!!/LOL!!!!

Have a good one..Scott
