Me & one of my technicians in our shop fabbed a bracket loosely following an article in the Clinic. The only difference was that we bent it differently where it attaches to the rear seat bracket so it would be much easier to remove if necessary & we heat-treated it for strength. We also bent it over the front of the rear seat, moving the backrest farther back. I'm a little long-legged & also wear a fully-armored jacket with an inch thick spine protector when I ride so I needed a little more room. Our body shop painted it black & clear-coated it for me & I snagged a factory studded backrest pad on eBay for around $30.

I corbin dual tour , love its back rest, can set pitch/angle. but Most of the time if im doing a short ride under 2000 miles the seat is great, its pretty high already.

I can have a driver back rest is same as rear.

There are usually a couple on ebay for sale from time to time. I bought one there and then put a Mustang seat with the backrest. I sold the other one.

Sailrider I just sent you a PM. Interested in your backrest. Shoot me a note when you get a moment.

Re:driver backrest 1 Week, 6 Days ago
so I bought this used one from Sailrider. Great person to deal with, thanks!

I love this Kuryakyn, and would buy it again in a second, but one thing ... they kinda ignore simple geometery. The fender is curved, so when you remove the rear seat holder and insert the fairly think Kuryakyn frame between it and the fender, the 3 holes don't line up anymore. Esp if you also add a washer underneath as they suggest. I took a dremmel tool and made the front hole of the rear seat bracket enlarged, towards the front. I did it after I had the back 2 screws in, which were such a pain to get lined up that I didn't want to take it all apart. I suggest if anyone else buys one, as soon as you take off the seat bracket, enlarge the front hole to make it more of a front "slot" and give yourself about an extra 1/4 inch towards the front.

Kurt
