i´ve come across some quite conflicting views regarding hyperchargers.

the standard model flows 280cu/ft min, and the pro flows 420 cu/ft min, so getting the air in isn´t a problem. what does tend to be a problem is `mechanics´ doing the jetting for them when they ain´t got a clue what circuit does what in a carb. just re-set the carb on a sportster with a hypercharger that was imported from the states, and it was set up in an.... interesting manner.

some have said that the butterflys opening and shutting cause changes in the airflow, but underneath there is a wide slot tha lets air in as well, so any `ram air effect´ would be negligable if any, and certainly not enough to upset the jetting

i´ve fitted more than a few for folks and they´ve all been satisfied.

as far as performance goes, they´re as good as most on the market. i run a pro model and am quite satisfied with the results
