I have some of Arlens tiny mirrors, not the ovals but more of a wedge and they are small. That said you can see behind you but it takes some time to get them where you want them. My head is on a swivel anyway so a bigger mirror doesnt help much in my opinion. I only use them to watch guys tailgating and for SMokey. Lane changes and such I look in the mirrior and then turn my head and look. It's kept me whole for over 40 years of riding. I got mine in black and they just about disappear when you look at the bike they are so small.
by the way back in the chopper days we used to attach a dentists tiny little mirror that he looks in your mouth with to our bikes to make them legal. law says you have to have a rear view mirror but not how big!
