I'm changing mine because when I get off my harley and jump on the R* I'm lost with the controls. By having harley controls on both it will feel the same no matter which one I ride. Not to mention they look better and if I need a replacement switch I can get one in just about any town in the U.S.A.

I bought my roadstar last year. It had been laid down lightly but in the process ground down the front master cylinder base. Nothing that a new top cover could cure. After finding out that (only) the chrome front master cylinder through the dealer or online was $300 or better, I decided to go the HD route. I am in the process of changing out my handlebars anyway, so the switch to HD controls, plus new levers and front master cylinder makes more sense. Having ridden Electraglides and Roadglides in the past, I prefer the HD controls.
