Anyone install Progressive Fork Springs/Lowering 3 Years, 1 Month ago
I'm pondering the install. I just installed the rear and after found out about reversing the relay arm to lower the rear and I have the front to do yet. Just want to try and make sure I don't do something that isn't good for the ride, the bike, or me. Any insight is appreciated.

I'm not aware of any negatives doing it that way sigmund. Should give you more control on the bumps and hard stops whether the rear is lowered or not.

i did the flip in the rear,ad got the barons kit for the front,no problems.you might have to get a shorter kickstand, also barons.i can tell you it will probally have a wobble at very high speeds if you only lower the rear & not the front

I did the front and rear with the progressive spring. I am really happy with the ride. I recommend upgrading the fork oil too since you should drain it when you change it. (i didn't change my oil the when I changed them, I did it later) You will notice that it stops the front end dive when braking and it feels much more planted in curves. Well worth the $$
I did not notice any wobble when I lowered the rear before the front going 90+ mph FYI

How much did you lower the front? What did you upgrade the oil to?

Oh, and thanks for the info.

Here is a way you can lower your forks for almost free. It is what I did and although someday I might get a set of progressive springs, the forks work great with the stock springs. I used some 3/4 schedule 80 couplings from Lowes. Couple of bucks each. You have to trim off some nubs on the outside, but it was an easy mod.

This sound great, but I'm also wondering if there would be more scraping riding 2up.... As it is, I feel like I have to firm up my suspension... or lose some weight. And I'm at stock height.
