also you may want to put a layer or 2 of fiberglass inside the trunk (it rattles when you hit bumps ) Smokescreen, if you will cut two pieces of rubber and use some plastic epoxy and stick them in the rear corners of the lid it will stop the rattle... The lid does not latch down snuggly to the bottom, but the rubber will do the trick!..

for whatever reason i tried that rubber trick but back flexes so much it still rattles for me. but i have a rag that i just wrap over the back edge (not so it sticks out the bottom but just where the weather seal is) and i dont hear it anymore. but i only use the trunk when i go somewhere for at least a night.

I removed my latch and redrilled the holes so now it latches down very tight. Locktited the bolts as well.

All the above are great ideas. What I did was used a length of vacuum line, sliced thru one wall with a utility knife and glued it to the bottom rim of the trunk. Did my hard bags too. Make sure you do NOT use the lid to put pressure on the new seals while the adhesive is setting...any spillage will seal the top shut very nicely...don't ask me why I know that
