Seat question 1 Year, 4 Months ago
Other then the Mustang 3 piece seat, does anyone know of a seat that doesn't use the stock passenger mount and has the option of running as a solo with backrest?

I thought Corbin uses the stock mounting piece under the seat for their passage seat

I just ordered My new ED Seats. I did alot of research. The ED and the Ultimate use the passenger seat for the driver backrest. Honestly I don't remember Corbin. Boy I can't wait to use my new seats.

Re:Seat question 1 Year, 4 Months ago
Yes you can use any E.D. seat with a E.D. backrest that mounts under rider seat {I have them for sale} and if you get the low rider seat you can get the backrest that slides into the seat from the top. I can help you with any of these choices.

Here is the low rider with flap at top where the detachable backrest goes:

Here is the solo set up with a standard E.D. seat with a fixed mount E.D. backrest:

This is where the E.D. fixed backrest mounts, also this can still be used with the passenger seat in place:

Cheif,

The ED / Ultimate still use the stock mount as well right? My goal is to be able to quickly go from solo to 2 up without having to remove the base if possible. The ED seats looks great but the cost all in would be about the same as the Mustang as far as I can tell or am I wrong?

The pass seat base is what holds the seat in place on the front side, and that bracket only has three screws that hold it down, so it can be taken off in a matter of minutes. The mustang has a screws that hold the pass seat to the rider seat on the under side which have to be removed from the rider seat to ride solo. I switch out my ride to solo quite often and it is about as fast and easy as you can get. As far as seats go the E.D. seats are much more comfortable. I mostly use the E.D. big touring seat with the backrest built into the pass seat and it works great. When I ride solo I just unbolt the pass seat at the back, one bolt and the whole ball of wax comes off, three bolts on the bracket and off I go.

Get whatever seat you want and use a Butty Buddy for your passenger. They come with suction cups that can be used to mount the seat. I've never lost a passenger yet.
