FYI on Kuryakyn Backrest for Baddad fender... 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Just wanted to let everyone know (unless I'm the last one to find this out, lol) that the Kuryakyn backrest straps, PN 1536 for the Road Star, are discontinued. These are the straps that allow the use of the Kuryakyn or Harley backrest upright. I'm doing the Baddad bagger conversion, and I've seen where others have used these backrest straps with the Baddad rear fender. I tried to order these through PhatPerformance, and a few other places that were still listing them. No luck. Luckily though, I found a set on Ebay. Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions as to which backrest will fit with the Baddad fender. If someone has suggestions for others, feel free to post here.

Well according to the info on the straps, "use these to mount Kuryakyn's Raptor Bar or any backrest with an 8-3/4" overall width and standard 1-1/4" center to center hole spacing.
Note: These mounting straps will accept most Harley Davidson style backrests or sissy bars."

I forgot which one I bought but I know it was for a Harley backrest.

Yup. You have that Raptor bar, so I'm guessing you have the side straps that are now discontinued. Like I said, I got lucky and found a set on Ebay from, of all places, Kuryakyn's Ebay outlet store. I'm glad I did, because I panicked when I found out they were no longer available!

Hey by the way, what seat are you using? Stock? Did you have to mod the seat pan, Baddad fender, or bags to get it to fit?

I bought an aftermarket seat. I believe it is a corbin seat. I will double check in the morning. I also had a dragger seat but I am a big guy and the dragger seat was a little small for me
