Relocate or remove? Choose remove and be done with it all together. There are a few tweaks that go along with going pumpless but all very simple. I relocated my fuel pump to the right side cover only to remove it a year later.

I relocated mine where the useless toolbag is at, under the seat. easy access. if the pump goes out, just move the fuel line from the filter to the tank. no real tools required (if the pump craps out). changing filter is a snap. I haven't found a place that makes more sense with the easy access. All you need is about 6ft of 5/16 fuel line and a little electrical wire to extend the pump connection. I will try and attach some pics. Major consideration needs to have easy access if you are on the road and sh t happens. I wouldn't want mine under the gas tank. Good Luck.

I sure wish mine looked that tidy under the seat.

Re:fuel relocate 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Relocated mine under the right side cover about 3 yrs. ago & no problems since. Just went on a group ride yesterday afternoon & everything still works well. Click on my Photobucket link below my sigpic & you'll find a whole bunch of pics of the relocation mod. There's no need to buy an expensive kit either. I did mine with about 6 ft. of fuel line & some clamps bought from the local Advance Auto. I used a piece of 1" flatbar I had laying around to make a new choke bracket, & wired the pump directly to the harness under the relay that conveniently also resides under the same cover. The 2 relays had to be moved from inside the rubber mount to the outside. Ran the lines up the backbone where I also located the filter & tied it all up with tie wraps. Look at the pics & if you have any questions or need any further help, just PM me.... John

You can move it, or lose it.
I simply got rid of mine.
Look under the "Tech Articles" tab at the top, for a variety of mods and changes related to it. Everything from venting your fuel cap, to changing out the needle and seat for a slightly larger one.
Type "pumpless" in the "Search Forum" box above, and you'll find pics, and oddles of post.

I still want to shorten the old pump bracket, so the enricher is right under the chrome breather for the crankcase. Others have simply moved the enricher to a new location.
The 90 degree hose right off the petcock, was one of those from the pump set up. All of the hose is protected by the stock wire spring. The fuel filter, is from AutoZone, it was mentioned in one of the "pumpless" threads.
