Yet another "Which Seat" thread 1 Year ago
Hi All,

I'm trying to decide between the E.D. Standard and Big Touring seat.
I'm 5'10", 180 lbs, 36 waist, 32 inseam.
I ride a 2010 Siverado with stock seat. The top of the windshield is right at eye level which seems a bit tall to me.
As I understand it, the E.D. Standard would seat me a bit lower (looking through the widshield?) and the Touring would raise me up and back a little. When I sit back further in the stock seat my hands go numb quicker..(upper back problem).
Any experiences out there?....
or should I just pick one, shut up and ride?

Sorry for the repeat seat inquiry, but I don't get along with the forum search engine most of the time.

You might consider the Geezer Glide set up as well. Got mine on and the wife loves the widened pillion pad and memory foam. Mine sits me up about an inch and is very comfortable. I am 6'1" and 225 with 32" inseam.

I know some here don't care for the look of it. Woody makes all of his seats to your individual request. I think it would be hard to get any more comfortable than mine is. It is a high quality upholstery job and I am one of the few I guess that prefers a handcrafted custom look to a mass production look. Some of the others on here have them as well. If you get interested go to http://geezerglide.auto.officelive.com/default.aspx

and check him out. Woody is great to work with.

OK Road Dog, you opened the door with this post. Has any one tried a Danny Grey seat? I'm a Ebay junky and cheap so I am always looking for a deal and saw them for sale there. I like the way they look, but I care more about what my butt and back think of a seat. A studded Mustang is on it now and it seems OK for back and forth to work (68 mile RT). I have not made any trips over about 60 miles one way, so I don't know how it is for the long haul.

I'm 5'10" as well, though heavier, 240, and have the ED standard seat. I have found it to be very comfortable for 150-160 miles at a time. Hoping for a longer ride tomorrow. I'd recommend the seat to anyone.
