CFR makes some touring slip ons that sound simply amazing on HD's... Deep, not ridiculously loud. If you don't want to pay 600/set, you can get the CFR knockoffs...

Basically, if you look at them, they're a direct copy of a magnaflow car muffler... straight through, perforated inner tube with packing in the muffler body. They don't have removable baffles, but sound amazing. Look them up on youtube.

Does this forum prohibit external links? I'll post it, and if I messed up mods, please let me know.

You can get em from ebay from American Classic Motors. Part number is M-TP-1004. Here's a link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEGAPHONE-SLIP-ON-MUFFLERS-EXHAUST-PIPES-HARLEY-1995-2012-TOURING-FLHX-FLHT-/120905738097?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item1c268b2771#ht_876wt_954

There is also American Custom Bomber mufflers. Made from reconditioned Harley take offs.

Still hard to beat the ebay stock Harley Touring take offs. They're just so cheap to pick up.

Congrats on the bassanis. As far as mufflers go I'd say which ever ones you like as they are all 1 3/4 inch head pipes you will have to make a set of support brackets for them though.

Maybe a set off a touring model would be best

I have 2005 Silverado with hard bags, and currently I'm planing some further mods.

If I get it right - once I have a set of Bassani duals on my Roadie, I can go any HD mufflers ? IE : Bassani 4" Slant Cut Slip-On Mufflers

The only issue is to forge propper brackets ?

I know there is cheeper stuff out there, I just think this slant-cut end would go nicely with RS hardbags...
