Big difference w/BAK 1 Year ago
Probably old news but I finally got to ride after installing Baron BAK & WOW awesome difference!
Much more responsive and smooth. Crack the throttle and power seems endless! I could not believe how easier the accel was! I had stock w/K&N which was nice but BAK is in a different category.

BTW kept my Stock w/ K&N to swap out for long runs where rain maybe an issue but living in SO.Cal I'm not worried

Good to hear you have it on the road again. I'm still waiting on my BAK (backordered). Hopefully I will also be able to feel a difference.

Thanks.

I got lucky and found mine on craigslist for $100. I believe you will love the difference. From what I've read and talked to some folks even the Baron "rain coat" doesn't work well. I would keep your stock handy as a back up for rainy days.

If I can help ya out, let me know.

Good luck & post some pics

It does make a difference when you open up that air way. Next for me is a ported manifold from Curt.

the k/n in the stock box works well if you do the poor man's bak... the stock housing is too restrictive unless you open it up.. i put mine on the 05 when i got the maxair for my 07 and can feel an improvement now that the carb can breathe easier...

I've had my BAK for several years and have never had an issue with it while riding in the rain (and I've rode through some soakers). If the bike will be sitting in the rain, I will put a shower cap over the BAK to keep it dry. Still have the rain sock that came with the BAK but have never used it.
