Re:Flag mounts for 6 12 Months ago
Sorry for the delay,
For my small flags, I just used the type that attach to a window... You know the plastic rod ones. To attach to the bike, I used a piece of aluminum angle and two U bolts to hold it to the sissy bar. Then I put the flags on the aluminum and put a screw into each side to make sure they stay on.

I ran two, one higher up for the American flag, and a lower one for my USN flag on one side and a POW/MIA flag on the other side.

OK, last one, but if you want more, PM me. It was really easy to make with the angle and U-bolts. Plus the window mount flags are fairly inexpensive and easily replaced if you wear one out or loose one. With just 2 screws holding each flag on, you can remove them fairly quick too. I forgot, it's pretty cheap to make too. 3' pieces of 3/4" aluminum angle was about $4. the U-bolts (need 4) were about $1 each. Then just the cost of the flags, I got good ones from "Fly me Flag" in Green Bay.

There are several good ideas on flag mounting here. Just a matter of taste and affordability, permanent or temporary.

I made mine with the American flag up high and the other two are over the saddle bags, I can also mount more on the plateform when I put it on. I was thinking of putting one for each branch of service plus PD and FD, but momma took my debit card away.

The angle iron was actually pretty easy to do, but the U-bolts I bought were too long so after I put them on I had to cut them down so they didn't stick out too far & look funny.
