Bad Experience AJUSA 1 Year ago
Hey guys, I ordered 2 K&N RA-066V universal air filters from AJUSA.

Now, I knew that K&N makes them with a round hole in the back that is off center, and that with that hole at the top, the K&N logo can be either right side up, or upside down.

So, I called my order in and was very specific about which ones I wanted, and how to determine whether the logo was the way I wanted it.

The AJUSA order taker assured me that he would see to it that with the hole at the top, the logo would be right side up.

Well, you know what happened, both were wrong.

Will AJUSA take them back? Sure, but they won't reimburse original shipping, I pay the return shipping, and they want a 20% re-stocking fee!!!

I couldn't have been clearer with the dude. He positively assured me they'd get it right. I wouldn't have ordered, if I couldn't have gotten that assurance. The fault lies completely with them.

I told them I'd never buy from them again and was posting my poor experience with them on the 45,000 member Road Star Clinic.

Beware AJUSA... obviously they'll tell you anything you want to hear to secure the sale. Jerks.

The guy who took the order should be held accountable and pay the shipping and restocking fees. And I thought it was just me that always got shafted.

I just covered the K&N imprinted in the metal up with a skull from Auto zone, looks kind of neat. They have other stick on chrome too I think.

I kinda like the K&N emblem...gives the motor a " performance" look.

Re:Bad Experience AJUSA 1 Year ago
Let's see how this goes down. A new email from the fellow at AJUSA that I have been dealing with reads: "Hi Harold,

I have continued to work on your order for
Restocking Fee and Shipping Fees to be
waived.

Your last email definitely helped that process
along.

AJUSA will be issuing a Return Label. This will
be emailed to you. Just print and provide with
order to any UPS Store for return to K&N.

AJUSA is committed to working with K&N to
make a full Refund possible.

It will happen.

Please let me know if you have any questions
or concerns.

Thanks, "

So, let's see if they'll make good. I had written that I would not order from them again, that I was going to post my poor experience here on the 45,000 member Road Star Clinic, and that I was too much of a gentleman to tell their order taker what I was thinking of him.....

Questcap I think you my be a little unreasonable about the logo. Keep in mind the price you paid for the item and the speed in which you get the product. AJ my be ordering it direct shipped straight from K&N and K&N is a production facility so the logo my be in what ever origination that their production run put it at the time of the run. Also this is non specific after market filter for many application so they can't be expected to cater to any one application. I received my 66 with the logo upside down and just bought a stick on to cover it just fine, I also got a 077V with it upside down and did the same thing. My experiences with AJ out weighs that small factor and feel it in no way their fault I will continue to recommend them because of their pricing and service that they give. We need to be realistic when we encounter things such as this with a company that gives good products and service.

Re:Bad Experience AJUSA 1 Year ago
Not all all, Curt. I called and made clear that I only wanted to order IF. The ordertaker was equally clear that he would see to it that I got them as I wanted them. Either he didn't actually care, or he misunderstood my very clear instructions. We spoke at length, so that he knew what I wanted, and said he would deliver.

Both were upside down.

He should have said... we can't make you any such promise, and I would have passed on them.

Truly simple as that.
