Okay, I printed out the UPS shipping label, attached it to the box as they wanted it, went to the local UPS Store, 1.3 miles away, and the return shipping was pre-paid by AJUSA.

Now, let's see how much they actually refund to me in a week or so. If the restocking fee and the original shipping fee are both also waived, as promised, and I am made completely whole... I'll give them appropriate praise right here, and let them know that I did.

It would only be right.

So just wondering. If you fliped the filter over so the k&n logo was rightside up will it hit the tank or be off center or something to that effect? just asking cause I keep batting at the idea of pulling the hyper charger off and running that oval filter. But I would want to do some kind of real nice mounting plate for it over just 2 tabs.

Smoke,

Yup, can't turn the round filter over, or it will be into the tank.

Same with the oval. The hole in the back is not in the center. But, I don't know if they make them with the logo upside down on those or not. I've only seen them right side up.

Perhaps someone else can chime in on that one. I think that's the RC 1980.

The oval can be flipped the RC-1980 is in the center and the RA-077V and RA-076V is offset to one end I run both of the RA's.

If the rc-1980 is centered that should be centered between the jugs right? Whats the point of having one towards the front or rear? Or do you need the offset to be centered between the jugs? Also are all 3 of those filters the 3” thick ones or is one of them 2” thick only interested in the ovals. Sorry for the hijack

I ordered a 066V filter last month from them and the emblem on mine is right side up. I just ordered mine online, no problems with them at all.

The 1980 is centered and is 2" x 4.5" x 7" the RA-076V is the same size but offset to one end. The RA077V is the 3" I don't know of a 3" centered that is why I have the off set. I just put the longest end to the front that way it is forward and gets less hot air and is away from my knee. I use the 2" because the 3" hits my leg with the forward controls. I had the 3" on my 07 with the floor boards and it didn't hit my leg at all.

Thanks for that detailed info curt I may break down and buy one someday and play around with making a mounting bracket for it, something one piece and cool looking

Re:Bad Experience AJUSA 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I purchased the RC-1980 from AJUSA a couple weeks ago with no problems. I made some tabs for it and mounted it up last week. It looks great. The RC-1980 flange is centered, and when installed centered between the jugs.

Questcap, I agree with you. You did your part by calling and asking all the questions. If they were not sure, they should not have proceeded with the order. I hope it all works out for you, and they can restore their reputation here.
