#506532 SKWEARpeg (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 5297 Downsizing the rear brake foot pedal?? 11 Months ago   Has anybody ever chopped the wide foot pedal in half or shortened it enough to use a shorter after market pedal? I think I could lose about half of this thing, and still not have trouble finding it in a hurry. Tried to glue the halves together but didn't quite work. Supposedly the cover from a V-Star will work also. Know what you mean though. At least I think it was the 1100. Maybe someone else remembers. I moved the highway pegs down further from where the PO had them, with hopes of resting my heel on the board, and the sole of my shoe on the peg. The brake pedal moves my foot out to far. If I set my heel on the peg, it ends up resting on the end of the brake pedal. I'll check out the V-Star pad next time I see one. If I understand correctly, Yamaha uses the same lever and spring loaded pivot on both the 1100, and the RS, but just different size pedals?
