Why do you wish you had went with the 8" instead of the 9"

Bounces in view when going over hills. I prefer not to directly see the windshield when looking out.

Agree with Mai. Have a Longride 9" dark tint flat to. Great wind protection but just a little bit too much in my line of sight.

Bought a replacement 8" recurve for the looks and it lets over more wind, little more buffeting in my hair, but I like it better for visibility and the looks of it. If I wore a helmet I might have to stick with the 9".

Can work out a good deal if you want it. Only used for a week and it's just going to sit collecting dust. Will probably buy a tall clear shield for long rides or winter.

I think he meant like a piece of seat foam or something similar. Correct!

I'd say that it should be a little thicker than the space you need to fill. And another "correct".

As far as stereo faceplates vibrating all to hell, fixed that as well. All you need to do is use a small shim under the the faceplate and outer "frame'. I cut a 2 pieces of 8" black zip tie about 1" long and installed at both bottom ends of faceplate with a dab of clear silicone. Vibration GONE!

No, it's all inside the fairing. I have zero issues with the stereo or the faceplate vibrating with my mods.

All mine took was a tiny piece of cardboard behind the clip that locks the faceplate in place. How fast are you guys getting this horribly bad vibe at? Mine doesn't do anything terribly bad until I'm past 80. I mean I get a little bit at 60-70 but nothing I would worry about anyway...

I like your idea with the cardboard to take up the "slack".
