I have the Wild One W0502 chubbies on my King and they are 12 1/2" but I wish I would have done 14"s instead. I love them and they are sooooo comfortable but they could be a hair higher. Here is a link to some of their bars. http://shop.wild1inc.com/CHUBBY-APE-HANGERS_c7.htm

They are krome werks. They were ordered for an ultra classic I believe. If I'm not mistaken, they are a Paul yaffe designed bar, just produced under the krome werks brand name. Don't quote me on that tho, just trying to remember what the guy I ordered them thru said.

That was a bolt on other than the wires and cables? If you don't mind me asking how tall are you? Trying to decide what size i need

Pretty much, my girl had it done for me for our anniversary this year so I didn't actually install them. I'm 5'10" and the grips are right at shoulder height, which for me is perfect. I could have done 16s I think, but these are perfect, and they sit just right above my fairing also, which I like. Personally, to get the "true ape feel" don't go less than 14".

This is my favorite part about this forum I get to be super thick headed and people don't call me a dumba@@. I thought I read something about the knurl for the risers and a dimple being a problem? Does anyone know if those bars that are 1 1/4 but down to 1 by the grips and risers does that work for ours. Thanks

The grip ends work fine but the step down in the middle is just a hair narrower than the Bat Risers. You just have to grid a crumb off of the edges of the risers on the front side only. You will also have that pin to deal with on the throttle side. That can be drilled in the new bars. Just wrap a bunch of tape around the bars and tighten the switch housing down where you want it and remove the switch housing and drill the dimple in the tape. I just ground the pin off all together on mine and tapped the switch housing for a set screw. I wanted to be able to roll it on the bars as I adjusted them up or down.

http://www.lachoppers.com/catalog/display/2090/index.html So does that mean when they say 1.25" diameter is the area where the grips go tapered down to that? Is the grinding on the risers a big deal I am by no means a fab man. Is there a concern about the ability to hold the bars?

It seems like everyone always says go tall the first time but i wish mine were actually a little shorter. Im running 13" big buffalos with 3" risers. I wish i would have gone with the 1 1/2" riers so i would be about 14 1/2 total.
