Its been a while since I did mine. Should just take you're old mounting bracket off and put the new one on.

Did you get the pipes new with instructions?

Yeah, but they are useless. The bracket is stepped so one side sinks in about 1/8th of an inch, and it comes with spacers... It's kinda shaped liked like I very mild "c". Looks nothing like what I had on there...

If I remember correctly the spacers go between the bracket (part with 2 holes?)and frame then I think the rest of the bracket (4 holes ?)goes up and towards the front of the bike sort of covering the transfer case a bit. Does this sound right? Do you have 2 larger bolts and 4 smaller?

I hope you get it. And don't forget to tighten everything up when you're done.

Wow! That was a serious p.i.t.a.! I kept thinking I had to be doing it wrong it was so tough! The slider bolts the go into the bracket and the slot in the back.... I'd love to get my hands on the sadist that thought that little gem up!! It's all on though. Gotta run the new cables through the handlebars tomorrow and come up with some kind of front axle, put the petcock in with the new sending unit and wire the tank up and I'm finally running again. As soon as I figure out how to upload photos from an iPad I will.
