Help! Intake/Jardine forward control problem 11 Months ago
I posted this on another thread but figured I would try here too.I am having a problem and wanted to see if I could get some input. My Roadstar had a aftermarket intake when I purchased it that I really like. I installed Jardine forward controls yesterday because I'm 6'4" and the stock floorboards were very cramped. Now the intake is in my legs way and my foot can barely touch the right peg and cannot at all touch the rear brake lever. I just found out Jardine makes an extended brake lever but my right foot is still no were near comfortable hanging on the edge like that.

Thanks! I will take some pics tonight and try to post them tomorrow. I remember how fun it was to get the single pic up of my bike the first time

I checked out the intake a little bit closer last night and there is what looks like a 2 3/4" aluminum spacer between the intake and the intake mount. If I could remove this and somehow cut down and customize the rubber intake boot(and replace the two rusty mount bolts lol) it could be problem solved! Not sure if this is going to work. I've worked 24 hrs in the last two days and have not had time to work on it.

Check out: www.pacificcoaststar.com . They have a spacer that moves the pegs/controls out from the frame 3/4". Might be able to fab them up yourself...just a simple spacer between the frame & bracket.
from beautiful N/E Georgia.
Enjoy the ride !!
