1. What method did you use to remove your spring?

I use a bench vise, clamps and wire. I know, I know but I'm real cheap.

2. Did you take things loose on the shock then raise your bike on a jack?

I put the bike on a the stand and raised it just enough to take the weight off. It's easier to remove the bolts.

It't like Steven said, put it up on the jack, far enough forward to remove the shock.Jack it up, remove the bolt in the front and back and then move the jack up and down slightly until you find the slack position to remove it, you might have to give it a tap to get it moving. It' the same going in, ajust the jack to get it into position, you might have to ajust it a few times to get it right on, let the jack do all the work. Remember the jack/ bike lift has to be far enough forward so that you can remove the shock assembly.

Good luck

Hi Doc, I went to all the shops in town , no one would touch, finally out of desperation I went to Canadian tire and their spring compressor just fit, and a no charge.

thanks
