I have the Switchblade and I love it, only takes a few seconds to change windshields and if you don't want to ride with a windshield it looks great with the shield off. I have the two-up and the tinted shorty. The two-up is nice for long trips, really keeps the wind and bugs out of your face and even without lowers there is very little buffeting. The Switchblade gets high marks from me, but I have only had it about 6 months maybe others have had different experiences.

Got one also. Have had it about a year now and wouldn't "switch" to anything else. Easy on/off. I love it.

It has been a couple of years ago I put a Switchblade on a Harley Softail for a customer and he loves it. Remember I have made the offer to provide stuff for clinic members for my cost + 10% + shipping. the mount kit lists for $124.95, cost is $74.99, +10% is $82.49. You have four choices as to the size of the windshield and a choice of clear or tinted. The smallest clear lists for $189.95, cost is $113.99, +10% is 125.39. The largest clear list is $239.95, cost is $143.99, +10% is $158.39. Your price will be the total for the mount kit + whatever windshield you select + shipping.

I've had mine for a few months now. I love it. No buffeting (no lowers). Easy install...just be carefull not to over-torque the clamps...I have a inch-pound porque wrench (highly recommended but not necessary if you have a good feel).

After the initial install...check it for any loosening after the first few rides. Better safe than sorry.

Clifford offers a good deal!

I got the 2-up at:
http://www.accessoryinternational.com

Part_Number: NATIONAL2UP
Description: Switchblade 2-up (clear)
Price 259.99 + 19.99 shipping
Size: 2001 Yamaha Road Star 1600

The Yami windshield is also around $600 if you didn't buy a Silverado with one already on it. I bought the switchblade because it seemed the best quality for the aftermarket brands, for a lot less than Yami. I'm very happy with it. Looks good, nice and strong, and very easy on-and-off.

Put one on my R* last year I love it, I only use it for long trips or when I think it might rain, it pops on and off as easy as they say. I liked it so much that I bought one for my wife's V-Star.
