I used to have the long pilon from yami and it worked well for short rides or really small women. When I was single that worked very well. Now if I tried to go back to that narrow little thing I would probably be on the road full time. (Somedays that don't sound to bad)

The long pilon is easy to install and of good quality, (from corbin, or at least it used to be) but not much comfort. Better than the fender though.

I think the long pilon looks more comfortable without the saddle. I don't know where the extra support and padding comes in with that goofy looking thing.

If you read the article, it says that it distributes the weight from the tailbone out to the hips. Makes sense to me.

I'm pretty sure I am not going to put anything called a saddle on my Roadie. Especially when my wife is going to be sitting on it. I fear the subject of "saddlebags" coming up. If you don't know what they are ask your wife about hers but be ready to duck.
