Anyone have Barons Engine Guard? 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I just bought the new Kuryakan Flame floor board covers and boy are they cool!!! BUT they stickout the front of the floorboards too much and hit my Cobra Freeway Fatty bars I laid my R* down a while back and put some serious road rash on the bottom of the guard and have wanted to replace them but havn't cause you can't tell unless you are under the bike. Sooo now I really like these floor board covers and want to keep them but I won't ride without an engine guard (because of my guard saving experience ) Anyone have a close pic of the Barons engine guard in relation to their floor boards?

Sorry for the long explaination

Steven

I've got the Baron's bar....there's 1/4 clearance between the bar and the stock boards. The boards are in the stock position (not tilted at all). Hope that helps!

about 2 inches at the closest point...with the yammi big bar....

I think the barons is no better than yours....but you would be ok with the big bar...

I like the floorboards but with my 2 1/2 Road burners..I dont think they would clear the pipe and would dint them if the floorboard were raised ..how is the clearance on yer front exhaust?? tight???

Huh Scott at Baron's said their engine guard worked with the floor board extensions that moves the floor boards forward a couple of inches! and your's is 1/4" away

Re:Anyone have Barons Engine Guard? 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago
the barons bar looks flatter to me..in the pics.... the yammi runs forward and out more....the middle of the floorboard is good 3 inchs... but a pic is worth a thousand words..

this is the Yammi big bar and remember the right side floorboard is farther forward than the left side...

yep we all have been riding the R* with yer right leg ahead of yer left leg...
