Grab Handles 3 Months ago
I just put a set on my 07. Will get an article uploaded soon, but here's some PICs on my web album.

They are PN 180-35 (MC Enterprises brand)

Hey I like those handles...who makes them and where can I get them? I actually was thinking about buying some stainless tube and bending them, hammering down the ends and drilling some hole...but these projects tend to turn into much bigger project that you expect. Plus the ones you have are either polished or chrome...they look really nice, good fit too.

Sorry it took so long to respond.

They can be installed two different ways. But, one way will interfere with saddle bag opening. So, remember on this model (2007 Road Star) the longer ends (arrow) of the grab rails go towards the front of the bike. Or, when installed the actual grab area is further towards the back of the passenger seat. If you get it wrong, it’s easy to fix.

The part number I bought was 180-35. Their web site indicates this number is only good up through 2003. It cost me $65.00 and $6.07 for Fed-X ground.

They were pretty good quality and finish – matching well with the Yamaha standard chrome finish. The instructions were not that great and did not address saddle bags etc. The instructions also stated the handles are only to aid in moving the rear of the bike and for cosmetics – probably for insurance reasons. However, they are not strong enough for moving the bike around, but should hold up with reasonable application as a grab handle for the passenger.
