#99470 TrojanStar (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 6 Passing lights 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago   Hey all. I have an '05 Roadstar Silverado, with the passing lights that came with it. One of the screws that goes into the bottom of my right passing light worked its way out. I went to the local Yamaha dealer to buy another one, and they told me that they don't sell individual parts for accessories, they just sell them as whole assemblies. Obviously I'm not going to buy the entire passing light set, so I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction. I've had difficulty finding the exact size at Home Depot, and a couple strips of trusty scotch tape are holding the light together at the moment!! Also check NAPA. I find that the smaller "Home Town" parts and hardware stores are the places to check for this type of stuff. If they implied that Yamaha dealerships don't do that they told you a big ol fib about not selling individual parts. Perhaps as a rule that particular dealership doesn't sell parts, but trust me there are some that do. Dealers have sold me original parts (bolts and nuts) on several occasions. They aren't cheap, but they're cheaper than buying a whole assembly. I'm sure my dealer would be happy to ship 'em to you if you want. Send me a PM/email if you want the contact info. Mark7 is right too, your local stealership doesn't seem to want to bother with something as small as a screw. I lost a screw to my headlight and wanted it to match the other one, not just the plain metal one I picked up at Ace. The local Yamaha dealer folks were willing to track one down, no problem. It's all about service, some give it , some don't . You can actually order the individual parts online from most of the dealers. Just find it online on the OEM parts section of their website.
