Almost Heaven... 2 Years, 6 Months ago

Man, Oh man... Is America beautiful, or what?!?
Decided to take the Roadie with me when I took the misses up to her family in New England this year...
Made a stop in Murphy, NC and found my way up to Tellico Plains, Tennessee, from Murphy and then over to Robbinsville, North Carolina and back to Murphy... (about 15 miles south of the Dragon...)
Didn't do the Dragon... Didn't need to... There was enough twisties, switch backs and hills to climb than I've ever seen before... (Hey, let's face it cruising in Florida doesn't require a lot of turning left or right...!)
We left Murphy on Rt. 74 W, into Tennessee and turned onto Rt. 294 and then a right onto Rt. 68 and that took me onto Tellico Plains... From there it was on to Rt. 165 and as close to heaven as, I think, anyone could get... (at least, without dealing with the "Big Sleep"

And, Like I said... Tail of the Dragon...?!? I guess I could have gone there... but, why...? I mean, I've already been a mile high in the Great Smokies...

Turning onto Rt. 68 from Rt. 294

Somewhere up around 3000 Ft.
