Without looking at a map nor knowing where you are coming from, Highway 395 to 120 through Yosemite to Highway 140 down through Mariposa and on to Highway 49 would be great run as 120 has some breathtaking views through Yosemite. 49 from Mariposa would take you over to Oakhurst and to Highway 41 from there can go back through the Park or down to Fresno and hook into the Sequoia Park. Not sure...I'd get out a map...and see if there is a way down to Sequoia without getting into Fresno.

Sounds like a great trip...enjoy.

If you are coming in on 40 (I thought for sure you would be on 80 coming from Michigan) you can just run north in to death Valley first and then out the park and up 395 to 120 and then when you get out of Yosemite take 49 north through the Mother Lode all the way to 80 and head back the other way I guess. Need more info but there are plenty of us here that have poked around on every road in CA to help you.

Glad you had a good time and made it home safe, slothy. It sounded like a helluva ride! I live in So. Cali and made a Yosemite/Lake Tahoe trip back in July. Man, it was hot!
