Been a while since I've been on the forum. Wanted to post a ride I'm taking and see if anyone else might want to meet up for a nice New Years Eve and start the new year off riding! Last year my girlfriend and I went alone. Left from Titusville, Fl down to Naples and across Tamiami trail up to Vero beach then home. 3 days, no highways and daytime riding. Evenings we were at our destination and just traveled around the city we were in.

Any way, This year New Years makes a 4 day weekend. We have two other couples now, but the more the merrier. We plan on leaving Titusville early Thursday Dec. 31st and riding across the state to Ozello for ride and Lunch then ending around dark in Cedar Key for New Years Eve. Friday the 1st head up the coast and around through Appalachian Forest and end at Panama City for the night. On the 2nd, Saturday we will cruise through Tallahassee and down and around to High Springs, Fl for the night then Sunday through Ocala NF heading home.

Anyone interested in joining all or part of the way let me know! Each day has about 5 1/2 hours of actual riding so 9am to dark leaves 8 hours or so to travel the distance and make stops on the way!

Sounds like a good time, are you planning on camping out or staying at some motel/hotels? I won't be able to make it, just curious.

Here in packer country we used to (might still be) a ride on New Years Day called the "Ice Run" for local charity. Haven't heard about it for a while but if the roads are clear...
