Thinking of planning Rt 66 ride in a few years (If i dont start planning now it wont happen! )
Has anyone done this? How long did it take and did you just roll through or did you take your time to see the sites?

Parts of old Rt. 66 are excellent, but some definately are not. You'll get a lot more scenery, a lot of great picture opportunities, old ghost towns and roadstops. If you do your research, I'm sure you'll find a ton of information about where's good and where's not. The interstates bypassed all the small towns that grew up around some great destinations.

I grew up in Albuquerque and I've been riding for 34 years, so I've been priviledged to ride the mother road around here for years. Great rides in this area and not just Rt. 66.

You're right, if you don't plan it, it won't happen. Set you dates and let us know when you head this way.

Ratl.

You might want to visit This site or others like it to make the trip simpler. I want to do this one day.
