tech days? 1 Year ago
so has the forum ever done any tech days where members get together for a day and work on each others bikes? Other bike forums I've been on have regularly scheduled meetings a few times a year depending on population density of members.

sounds like a fun way to meet up and share some knowledge with other members!

as an example, I'm in South/central PA, about 2 hours from Philly and DC and am likely going to get an air kit soon but have no idea how to rejet so I'll most likely take it to a shop unless there was some opportunity to buddy up w/ a bunch of grease monkeys for a fun day of wrenchin!

I am sure the guys on here can walk you through the jetting process. You may have to pull your tank off a dozen times, but it will teach you about your bike. The dealer will probably not jet it right anyway and you will be having to correct it. Start by going to tech and read up on jetting. I would suggest getting the PMS thumb screw to install when jetting. I also suggest a good jet kit. Usually the manufacturer of the air kit sells one designed for that it along with instructions. The Barons kit is also a good jet kit.

Respects
Mark
