Sux but where the parties injured drinking & riding ? If so thats just plain stupid. Never liked Poker runs or events with beer as the destination.

Anybody that says they go to Biker event and doesn't drink hasn't been to many events.
Last run I was on even the booze fighters MC were toasted
Bikers and beer go hand and hand

I go to lots of events and have yet to find a bar that doesn't serve coffee, coca cola or water. Sometimes free. I always manage to find a sober group to ride with during runs like that. Drinking and riding is a choice that people make...and it's a bad one.

That really sucks big time...I don't drink and drive myself, especially on two wheels. I rode on an abate poker run once from bar to bar. Last time I did that. Guys I ride with, when we've been drinking do not get on wheels of any kind. Still I'm sorry to hear about all the accidents and fatalities.

Guess im alone but yep i dont go to events, poker runs anymore causr it was about the booze & not the ride. No disrespect to the injured or killed obviously. Sucks hearing about more bikers being hurt by booze. (If that was the reason)

Our ALR doesn't allow alcohol consumption on our ride in any form. If you do you are kicked from the ride. We don't even have at our post. Bikes and booze don't mix. Sorry to hear so many were hurt.

Even without beer and other substances, I avoid large groups of bike riders with whom I have no history. Too many different riding styles, and it only takes one bad one to create a pile-up.

All the post about being drunk...does anybody actually know if they were drunk or are they just guilty by association of a poker run?

Prayer are out for them ALL.

I agree regardless if they were drunk or not accidents happen for many reasons just unfortunate for all involved with them,my sympathy for the riders injured or killed very sorry to hear the ride turned out that way
