This is definitely on my bucket list and anyone who's spent some time around me knows it. I figure if everyone knows, I better make it happen!
Just gotta wait til the kids are thru college then I'm gonna might have some free time and maybe some extra $$ too!
Haven't decided if the R* will be the bike for me to do it on yet but at this point I can't see any reason why not.

They are 8 days into the ride and it looks like it is a memorable trip.

I know people who've done that ride...they said that a BMW is the best scooter to do that trip...couple of the people I know have done that ride on Harleys and Goldwings. By far the BMW was the best choice to make that ride to Alaska...but that was just a personal knowledgeble oppinion.

Wow! Some day. Some day... For now, I'm going to ride ALL the way from Minnesota to IOWA! I know. You're jealous.

Oh, I love the farmland in Iowa and Minnesota. The Rockies, British Columbia and Alaska got nothing on that.

That's funny! As a rider in Nebraska (almost South Dakota) we've got the Sandhills to enjoy.

I'd say the roadie would be the best bike to make that trip on. I've done some long rides but not quite that long. The roadstar never disappoints though. Awesome ride and I hope to do something similar someday. If I could only stop spending money on mods and take some time off work

Bump. The trip is over, they made it home safely. 10,500 miles, sounds awesome. If you have some spare time check out the blog and read it from beginning to end. What a trip!
