#100548 cartersta (User) winter antifreeze, send jack daniels Gold Boarder Posts: 962 WARNING!! watch your credit cards closely 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago   in our business we have to use credit cards on a regular basis, my wife booked a motel room in atlanta online sat, and i bought gas with my cc sat, we happen to check ours online every monday and noticed a charge for $100.00 for sunday, and both the transactions on sat were messed up, further investigating with the credit card co, canceling our card, filing fraud, and researching another co. somebody bought a subscription to a porn site, i cant stand thiefs, so watch your account closely!   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access. #100561 Greysnake (User) BB sold all the beer and bought a stratoliner. A few months back ordered some items online and went thru the Paypal checkout. This was around noon and had to work so when later that night checked mail and got purchase emails from 6 spots. Evidently they followed me into paypal some how and later in the day made almost $4k in purchases in less than 4 minutes ! Paypal caught the action and locked account but it took over a week it all to get sorted out and returned back to me. I feel a bit safer using paypal than just making straight purchases but nothing is gaurunteed online .   Logged     The administrator has disabled public write access. #100602 underdog2003 (User) Junior Boarder Posts: 108 Re:WARNING!! watch your credit cards closely 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago   Yup, I just got notified last week by my bank's fraud alert program of a wire transfer made from my check account card for over $300 Of course that was an unauthorized transfer and my bank was able to withold the funds and get me a new card My bank has that awesome monitoring company that calls me every so often when a purchase is made that is "unusual" or several large ones made out of town, etc. They call, I tell them it was me and that's all she wrote! It doesn't interfere with my purchasing ability at all, it's just a check and balance system.   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access.
