#100690 slyguy (User) Gold Boarder Posts: 780 Replacing stock headlight 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago   I was waiting over 2 months for the Adjure Wave Cut headlight. Still on backorder. I decided to stop waiting and get the Pie Cut instead (close enough). The lamp came in today. I tried installing it, but its loose. Here's what I did: Removed light from bucket by removing the two side screws on the headlight ring. Disconnected the h4 plug from the light. Removed the two long adjuster screws Removed the three little screws holding the ring to the stock lamp Removed the old lamp. There's a bracket at the top. I couldn't figure out how to remove the inner assembly from this; and didn't think I should force the issue. Attached the new lamp to the ring to the light assembly and reassembled the long adjuster screws. There's some movement of the light (not a lot). I know if I put it back on my bike, it will rattle (annoying) and eventually probably crack or break. Am I doing something wrong or do you have a remedy to stop the movement? Problem is the cut outs on the plate are bigger, so its moving. The directions (go figure) say to cut a plastic dowel to fit. Its off by a whopping 3/16". I thought this was a simple install. The little notches on the pie cut lamp is 9/16" wide and the notches in the yami mounting bracket(where the lamp sits on) on is 3/4" wide about 3/16" diff. These notches line up. When I put the three screws in the lamp moves and I know it will rattle.   Logged     Last Edit: 2008/07/16 10:20 By slyguy.     The administrator has disabled public write access. #100793 Pop Rivet (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 2694 Re:Replacing stock headlight 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago   mine fit tight and didnt allow the glass to rotate at all... are there washers between the retaining ring and the mounting ring on the screws?? try removing them and it should tighten down if not and you say the retaining ring doesnt snug the glass to the mounting ring then you may have to use tape to do this ... havent heard of anyone else having had this issue... I tried assembling this multiple times about 5. One time it was tight, went to install it on the bike and it was sideways (installed the lamp wrong) duh.
