Given the fact that we live on the Charlotte border, it's a nice comfortable ride. Of course, he's one of those cocky Harley riders. Seriously, I believe he rode there 4th of July and loved it. This time of year it's REALLY busy on the north end (Kitty Hawk, Duck, Corolla, etc.), south end should be less busy. It's east of Beufort on 21. It's a state park, so it's seldom crowded. There are no concessions per se. The beach is wide and clean. I've picked up starfish and conch shells and swum with the dolphins there. Looks like a tropical rainforest in places.
