2017 smokies meet planning thread 8 Months ago
So I'm guessing if we do this again it will be at Lloyds so I will post that info in a second. We can use this thread as a way to figure out what we want to do and a list of stuff you need to do and check before the meet (I'm guilty of some of the items that will be listed as well)
Check brakes: pads, fluid, function.
Check tires: make sure they have enough tread to get you to the meet, home, and around 2,000 extra miles
Check oil and replace if needed
Make sure all mods are working correctly
I'm not stepping on toes just want to make sure next year goes off without a hitch.

Anyone that attends or plans to attend can make suggestions of stuff to check and even roads to ride.

This meet is from September 12th till the 17th.

wheels thru time motorcycle museum is pretty cool.
maybe hang out, grill some steaks and tators, and drink some beer while getting to know each other, and talk about how great it is that nobody went down this year (2017)

Don't know if it be the same weekend next year or not but there was a pretty big Superbike deal at VIR the last weekend of the M&G. It's about 4 hours away from you guys but there are plenty of hotels I have a big back yard for camping type people. My in laws live next door and I can not offer up sleeping space in their house but bathrooms and showers are not an issue.

Sounds like you all had good weather that weekend. I'm thinking of going next year as well.
How far is that camp ground from Lloyds ? I think Mr. Jeff stayed at.

Ela Campground is maybe 1/4 mile. They have tent sites, cabins, rv rental and rv spots.
