Gotta review this again... I want to, but... can I??? It's just that much farther, that... I'll recheck with MapQuest for the miles, and all that.

Okay, let's see... that's 8 1/2 hours, and 508 miles. Coot is halfway there. Hmmmm, 2 x 250 mile days wouldn't be so bad at all!

Gotta pass this by the wife. I'd be away 5 or 6 days. She's real good about stuff like this (typically).

Roadie might think it's funny... but, my wife is my handler, my schedule keeper. She keeps me up and going where I need to be.

Plus, she's so good to me... I'm not so sure I want to be away from her for 5 or 6 days!

Checked with the wife, and... we have guests coming up from Virginia for just those very same 3 days, the 21st thru the 23rd. BUT, she says I can still go, if I'd like. Isn't she good?

Oh how I would love to be retired and just take on a multi-site ride over a couple of months!!

As it is, it's 20 hours of boring interstate from Dallas. And of course I would want a couple of days to visit other friends in the area, then drop on down to VA to visit the grandkids. Then I would have to ride the Dragon on the way home, swing over to Atlanta to visit some family there, then on to Nashville and pick up the Natchez Trace down to Vicksburg and the battlefield there.

So you see, there just isn't enough time to squeeze that all in with the meager vacation I am allowed.

I know how you feel Joe, Born to ride, forced to work!

Well, my situation sure has changed!! I'm now in NH for a 6-9 month contract. Having only been here a week, I don't know how things will play out in July. The hiring manager seems pretty flexible so I can prolly shift my hours enough to leave by noon if not 1st thing Friday morning. Right now I'm leaning towards finding a campground in NY or PA. Is there anything close?

Questcap, if you're interested (I know you were thinking 2 days each way) you could come up this way Thursday (Merrimack, NH) and we could ride out on Friday.

Quick Google search makes it appear the closest campground is about 19 miles away.

TX, I believe you're the guy that bought my Ultimate years back, aren't ya?

I'd be going from here to Coot's in NY on Thursday, and then he and I would go on to Bradford Friday.

I'd be taking US 6 to Hartford, and getting on I84... headin' due West.

It's still not a sure thing yet either...

That would be me!!

I would be taking Route 101/9/7 across NH, VT and into NY. At Albany I would pick up 88 to Binghamton and the 86 to Olean. About an 8 hour ride not counting stops. If I can go (and I want to) is still TBD.
