Question for Musky Seafoam treatment & oil change 5 Months, 1 Week ago  
I added 4.oz of seafoam on my last fill-up will I need to change my oil after the this tank of fuel is gone ?? or do you only change the oil after adding a whole or half can ?

How often do you recommend adding the 4 oz treatment, just as a preventive maintenance measure?

Well. I don't. If the bike is set up right and you ride it right you don't need it. But I guess if you want to use it 2 or 3 ounces every 3rd or 4th tank won't hurt anything.

Why do you need to change the oil if you added it to the gas tank and not the oil sump?

If you do a shock treatment the oil gets contaminated with all sortsa bad stuff.

Hey Musky, By using synthetic oil such as Mobil1, can I go 5000mi. on an oil change? Just wondering. Capt.Kirk

Lot of people go that far and more and don't seem to have any trouble. I can't speak first hand on it. I've always changed the oil on my bikes at around 4 grand.
