26 year Police Officer, 22 years in Narcotics Division, 20 years following an a**hole around all day as a K9 handler. I do love my job and sometimes I can't believe that I get paid to do such a fun job.

These threads are always interesting....we have people here from every walk of life, all with the R* and riding as a common interest!!

I own a company that designs, manufactures, installs, and supports electrical systems for racing. Everything from the simplest battery cables to the most complex wiring harnesses for data and engine management systems. We do a lot of endurance racing projects...cars that run the 24 hours of Daytona, LeMans, etc. Always loved racing, was a Porsche / VW specialist and owned a repair shop for years. Did a lot of amateur racing since the late 60's, and have been in this professionally since 1983. Still travel to the tracks a little, just returned yesterday from the Grand American race in Daytona. I'm really a backyard mechanic at heart and have been blessed by the Lord to be able to make a living doing what I enjoy! As the saying goes "STILL PLAYS WITH CARS"

Ride Safe! speedster

Deputy Sheriff for the past 10yrs. Also did 9yrs in the IL National Guard, and have started my own business on the side with a company called Primerica - we help people get their finances in order via Term Life Insurance, Debt Consolidation with a fixed term mortgage(too many people got shafted in A.R.M'S), and Retirement planning(i.e. Mutual Funds)! I love both my jobs!

Re:What do YOU do at work? 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I'm co-manager of a Non-Destructive Testing business in Calgary, AB, CANADA. We do primarily Radiography and Ultrasonics testing on pressure vessels, piping and machined parts for the oil & gas industry.

The fun part of my job is that I'm the guy who is responsible for all the radioactive material and exposure devices we use to do the radiography. I'm also the guy who responds to any "malfunction" emergencies for the company . . . . . There's nothing like trying to retrieve an 80 curie Cobalt-60 source thats stuck out of the device and unshielded. Yikes ! If it can penetrate 11" of steel, imagine what it's going to do to me !

Best part is, I can Radiograph/UT/MPI/LPI/Hardness Test/Ferrite Test/Material Test, etc, etc all the parts of my bike if I want. I've x-rayed forks to see how they're assembled, guitars (just for fun), magnafluxed cranks, etc. All FREE ! I x-rayed my stock pipes before I did the stage III mod, just to see where the baffles were. If I ever figure out a way to scan a radiograph I'll post it for everyone.

If you have a part you need inspected let me know.
