Front turn signal len's 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I've had plenty of bikes before and one thing I've noticed with the R*, It seems that when I'm coming down the road to an intersection and have my turn signal on, and a car is waiting. They never pull out untill I'm almost making the turn, then they look at me stupid and take off. I figured it must be the clear lens turn signals in the daylight,...not being able to be seen very well. Yesterday I changed them to the orange/yellow len's. What a difference. I rode all day yesterday and from 1000 ft. people could see them and pulled out normally...(excluding the dummies that pull out in front of ya on purpose) Just an observation. Good ridin'!

I agree I have switched to the old orange lens on the front and did the red paint on my rear ones a long time ago just for that very reason.

Curt...did you get those funky 3 pronged "clear" bulbs for the front too? I cant find them yet, I'm still running the orange bulb behind the orange lens. Works good but that clear one would be brighter. Anybody know what model number that '3 pronged, clear' bulb is?

Yup. Plain old 1157. Available for cheap at any auto parts store. Just file the bottom nub off and pop it in.

Hmmm I bought some clear 1157's.... the prongs are straight across from each other. The stock bulbs have 3 prongs in a triangular shape. How will it fit??

Get you an 1157 car buld at the auto parts store and grind one prong off of it they work great that way. I bought an older light bar used with the passing lights and the turn lights already on it. The older ones used the 1157 bulbs. I took my front and put them on the rear and wired in the run side so I have run/turn on the rear now.
